Dr. Jeffrey Rasmussen joins Pen Bay Orthopaedics: 4 thoughts

Pen Bay Medical Center hired Jeffrey Rasmussen, MD, to work out of Pen Bay Orthopaedics, The Courier-Gazette reports. Here's what you should know. 

1. Dr. Rasmussen is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine.

 

2. Dr. Rasmussen earned his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He was an intern at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey before he completed a residency at Rutgers and the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He had a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at New England Baptist Hospital.

 

3. Dr. Rasmussen was the assistant team physician with the Boston Celtics, and with three division one colleges.

 

4. Dr. Rasmussen is a member of several professional organizations including the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
